About the role

Reporting to the Head of Product (who happens to be the CEO!), the Technical Product Manager will work cross-functionally with our entire team to enhance WHC products and services. They play a key role in leading and contributing to product strategy, feature development, and go-to-market initiatives for both existing and new products.

We employ the Shape Up methodology to plan and build in four-week cycles, so you won’t be bogged down in endless sprints—instead, you’ll see your work come to life regularly. Despite our relatively small team of about 100 people, we power tens of thousands of websites for Canadians, providing a significant impact that rivals much larger organizations. This hybrid role offers a blend of remote and on-site work at our WHC office, located in Montreal's vibrant Little Italy. We are open to fully remote candidates, but on-site presence will be required as needed.

What you'll do

  • Participate in the product development process, collaborating closely with engineering, design, and other teams to ensure products are developed according to roadmap
  • Craft pitches for new features and improvements
  • Prepare mockups and wireframes with the Design team
  • Participate in market, competitor and user research
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog
  • Help develop and execute go-to-market plans in collaboration with the Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience teams
  • Define and monitor success KPIs
  • Help establish product pricing to ensure alignment with financial targets

Qualifications

  • 3-7 years experience as a Product Manager with technical and customer-facing experience
  • 3+ years of experience in the tech industry, preferably SaaS, PaaS, and/or IaaS
  • Strong communication skills in English and French + interpersonal skills
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • You are an established product manager with experience managing software and infrastructure products.
  • You are customer-centric and understand the needs of Canadian small businesses.
  • You are skilled at interpreting insights from market trends and user feedback to make better product decisions.
  • You drive innovative ideas, solutions and products through leadership and decisive action.
  • You have experience working in Agile, documenting and prioritizing work in Jira, and collaborating with UX/Design in Figma.
