At Web Hosting Canada (WHC), we are passionate about helping Canadians succeed online by offering reliable website, domain, and email services tailored to their needs. Our mission extends beyond being a leader in online solutions—we strive to create a workplace that fosters growth, innovation, and connection. If you thrive in a dynamic, caring environment and are excited about shaping Canada's tech landscape, we'd love for you to join our team!

About the role?

As Product Manager, WordPress & Websites, you'll be at the forefront of shaping how entrepreneurs, creators, and small businesses build their digital presence in the AI-powered age.

You will own the full strategy and delivery of our website products, including Managed WordPress and website builder solutions. This role is about more than shipping features—it’s about leading WHC’s push to deliver an intuitive, performant, and future-proof web presence platform that scales and adapts to user needs.

You’ll report directly to the CEO and work with Product Owners, Engineers, Designers, Marketers, and our broader community to ship ambitious, high-impact products. This role is perfect for builders who are energized by complex challenges, unafraid to question assumptions, and driven to create clarity amidst ambiguity.

This hybrid role is based out of our Montreal HQ in Little Italy, with flexibility for remote work. On-site presence may be required for key planning or team events.

What you'll do

  • Product Vision & Strategy: Define, evolve, and champion the roadmap for WHC’s website platform, including Managed WordPress and site builder solutions. Align product decisions with our broader mission and adapt proactively to a rapidly shifting AI and digital ecosystem.

  • AI-First Thinking: Evaluate how AI can enhance the user journey, simplify complex workflows, and drive value across the website-building lifecycle. Identify, test, and ship AI-powered features that matter.

  • Shape Big Problems: Tackle tough, high-leverage product challenges. Collaborate cross-functionally to identify real customer problems and pursue the best solution—not the first or easiest one.

  • WordPress Evangelism: Represent WHC and its values in the WordPress and open source ecosystems. Participate in meetups, conferences (like WordCamp), and community forums to listen, learn, and contribute.

  • Full Product Ownership: Use Shape Up methodology to drive full product lifecycle execution—from idea to launch to iteration—with four-week cycles focused on deep work and meaningful outcomes.

  • Customer & Market Research: Conduct customer interviews, dive into product analytics, follow competitor movements, and synthesize insights into sharp product direction.

  • Cross-functional Execution: Align Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and CX teams to build and launch features that resonate. Act as the voice of the user while balancing business objectives and technical realities.

  • Pricing & Positioning: Partner with leadership and marketing to ensure our website products are competitively positioned, clearly differentiated, and aligned with customer value.

  • Partner Management: Manage relationships with CMS platforms, plugin/theme developers, and other strategic tech partners to ensure seamless integration and long-term alignment.

Qualifications

  • You solve problems, not just ship features. You’re passionate about delivering customer value and aren't married to specific solutions or frameworks.

  • You think like a builder. You enjoy ambiguity, ask sharp questions, and push ideas forward—even when the path is uncertain.

  • You’re WordPress-savvy. You’ve built, used, or shipped WordPress-based solutions and understand the ecosystem’s strengths and quirks.

  • You embrace the new wave. You’re curious about how AI is reshaping the internet and excited to explore its impact on website building, hosting, and customer success.

  • You have 3–5 years of Product Management experience, ideally in WordPress, SaaS, PaaS/IaaS, or other open-source ecosystems.

  • You’re confident with tools like Jira, Figma, API docs, and collaborative delivery methodologies like Shape Up or Agile.

  • You’re bilingual (EN/FR) or comfortable operating in a multilingual Canadian environment.
