Director of Finance

Your role

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Finance will oversee all financial aspects of the business, guide the company's financial strategy and planning, and oversee the financial operations and output of all customer service departments at WHC.

You will make a difference by:

• Providing monthly financial statements to management
• Implementing best practices to facilitate a timely month-end close
• Overseeing all payables, payroll, and sales tax issues
• Monitoring cash flow
• Designing and implementing procedures to improve our internal controls
• Coordinating with external accountants for the completion of year-end financial statements and corporate income tax filings
• Handling any inquiries from tax authorities
• Helping leverage R&D and other government subsidies and grants
• Assisting with the maintenance of our accounting system and making recommendations for improvements

Who you are:

• You are a CPA that’s well versed in Quebec and Canadian Federal tax regulations
• You are hands on, solutions-based and results-oriented

Qualifications 

• CPA or equivalent
• 8+ years of relevant work experience in Finance
• Bilingualism in English and French (written and spoken)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
